PEACE (Personal Escape And Control Education)
Violence is increasing around the country at an alarming rate. Are you trained to handle a violent encounter? Do you have the confidence to protect yourself or a loved one? The PEACE course is designed to give you the confidence and knowledge to protect yourself and or a loved one. The course focuses on controlling violent behavior by applying minimal use of force to protect the individual and avoid litigation. There are four key principles that are taught in the hands on training section: skeletal locking, blending/connection, posture/presence and grounding.
The PEACE course begins with awareness, avoidance and de-escalation and progress through controlling techniques and post conflict resolution.
PEACE 101
- 4 hour class
- pre-requisites: NONE
The course begins with the pre-conflict stage of a situation before any physical conflict takes place. Emphasis is placed on awareness training, avoiding physical conflict and verbally defusing a situation before physical violence erupts. The next part of the course deals with the conflict stage of a situation where physical violence has occurred. This section deals with body positioning, escapes/releases and basic controlling techniques that participants can use to protect themselves. The course ends with a brief discussion of the post-conflict stage of a situation that covers the aftermath of a violent encounter.
PEACE 201
- 2 hours hands-on training
- pre-requisites: PEACE 101
The course continues the hands-on training that participants were exposed to in PEACE 101 but takes the physical training to the next level and fine tunes the skill set.
