SAVE (Safely Addressing Violent Encounters)
Workplace violence is growing at an alarming rate. The SAVE courses are designed specifically for social service providers and education professionals focusing on how to handle aggressive behavior. The courses focus on controlling violent behavior by applying minimal use of force to protect the individual and avoid litigation. There are four key principles that are taught in the hands on training classes: skeletal locking, blending/connection, posture/presence and grounding.
The SAVE courses begin with awareness, avoidance and de-escalation and progress through controlling techniques and post conflict resolution. They can be taken separately or in a series of units depending on need.
